the triathalon for track was today.
i'm usually dreading it, only today wasn't so bad.
last year was like, CUT THROAT COMPETITION.
this year was like, hey yeah it's a mini triathalon.

the swim is 750 meters.
which is like half a mile.
which is 32 freaking laps.
the bike is six miles.
and the run is 3 miles.

i ran last year and this year too.
the course has a lot of hills in it, but it's really not horrible.
plus running cross country puts me as a good candidate for sprinters running it.
the distance kids own obviously. haha.

so my team was Audrey, Apple, and Me.
Audrey's a lifeguard, so i asked her if she would swim for us because she's not in track.
she accepted! :D
so it's chill.
and she was really good!
13:06. not the best, but i think we were like 10th or 12th. so things were looking good.

and the way it works is like this.
all the swimmers go, and then the bikers go from when the swimmers go.
so they have to wait for ALL the swimmers to finish, and then they let the bikers out in correspondence to the swimmers.
ya dig?
so we were pretty okay.

except...Apple was like, the slowest you could possibly be.
we were thinking she was lost or something. even though the course was like a straight line to a cone and then turn around and come back to the pool..
she still could've got lost. ha.
so at first i was like oh okay some people passed her whatever.
then i was like okay i guess she got lost..
then i was freaking out because almost EVERYONE was gone and Apple didn't show up yet.

she came in last.
she had some trouble with her chain and she fell and stuff, so that's why.

but anyways.
she came in last, but i wasn't too worried.
i passed about five people on the course, so i was okay.

i think our time was like, 1:51 or something.
haha.
